Trembling, you stare at the strange clues in your hands. Again and again you read the cryptic lines your friends left you. Fog shrouds the dark forest. You hear mysterious whispering. What lurks there among the gnarled trees?
All clues lead to an abandoned hut at the edge of the forest. There, the trail of your friends disappears. Do you dare to follow them?
The Dark Forest is a horror escape room in Wuppertal with actors, interactive scenes and over 200 m² of playing space. The experience combines escape room, horror attraction and immersive theatre into an extraordinary adventure. The game takes place at our Horror Stories Barmen location and has ranked among Germany's best-rated horror escape rooms for years.

Participation
Not suitable for
- Participants under 16 – parental permission or accompanying parents do NOT count. We mean it and will check ID if in doubt.
- Participants with fear of the dark or confined spaces (claustrophobia)
- People with heart problems or pacemakers
- Asthmatics (artificial fog is used in the room)
- Participants with back or knee problems or players who find walking difficult
- Pregnant women
- Epileptics (stroboscopic effects are used in the room)
- Participation under the influence of drugs or alcohol is not permitted
- Babies and toddlers – they cannot participate in the game or watch in the cinema
Preparation
Clothing & footwear
Please wear comfortable clothing – no suits or cocktail dresses. Sturdy footwear is mandatory; no flip-flops or high heels.
Participation terms
On site you will find participation terms outside in front of the door, which every participant must read and sign – the door will only open once everyone has signed. Please allow extra time for this.
Have you booked spectator tickets?
Please also lock bags, phones and other personal items in the lockers. Then wait in the anteroom. A staff member will collect you once the players are in the experience and escort you to the spectator area.
Respect towards our performers
You have booked a game with actors – these are real people. We therefore do not tolerate any disrespect, sexual innuendo or physical contact towards our staff. Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is also not permitted. In case of non-compliance, we reserve the right to stop the game immediately.
